If the Yankees sign Cliff Lee quickly, I can definitely see them chasing Werth. The Yankees will be content going into the season with Gardner, Granderson, Swisher but nobody has ruled out the possibility that they look to upgrade. There's a question amongst fans at just how much can we continue to depend on Swish and if there's a better power bat available to put into RF, why not? Swisher could be traded for a bullpen arm in a heartbeat. The longer Cliff takes to sign, the longer the Yankees primary focus is tied up. If Lee signs quick, the Yankees will shift their focus elsewhwere.

He hit 30 on the dot the past two season, are you retarded? So no you, made the idiotic statement.

Clearly A-Rod is not what he is used to be. Most Yankee fans will agree.

He missed 25 games, still hit 30 HR's and had 125 RBI's.

Enjoy your third place team.

We went over this multiple times. If you are going to make up excuses for A-Rod, there are a <Censored> load for why the Sox didn't make it.

It's not like you were doing any better before the injuries occurred.

Uhhhh, yeah we were. We were competing for first.

I went over this before. Losing Beckett, Pedroia, Youkilis and Ellsbury isn't a big deal?

Losing record in April (4th place)
Still in 4th place at the end of May
Got hot in June (2nd place)
Tampa Bay snapped out of their funk in July and retook 2nd place.

So outside of June, the Sox weren't anything special.

They posed as a tiny threat for one month, but that was it.

Thats when we lost everyone mart one.
Doesn't matter. You sucked for the first two months of the season, and only got back into the race because Tampa Bay went into a BIG slump.

Even when healthy, the Sox were still inferior to the Rays and Yankees. The numbers don't lie.

So explain us still being able to compete, while we had all those injuries?

Why does it matter? They didn't make the playoffs. In fact, they weren't even close to being a threat. Are you taking pride because your team managed to finish in third place?

Clearly we were still able to finish like 6 games back with a team of AAA players.

The AL wasn't very good this year. All of the Central teams sucked. The same goes for the West (outside of the Rangers). The Rays and Yankees were the class of the AL in the regular season.

PTT, you're making a commendable effort and I'm glad there's someone else watching the games and able to make intelligent statements, but, sadly, it falls on deaf ears when talking with TWill. It's fun for a while to see his ridiculous attempts at "counter-arguments" but it gets old quick.

This past year showed that the National League is above and beyond the better league. We dominated the AL and won the World Series.

You couldn't tell that to some of these Red Sox "fans".

Obviously I am going to admit teams like the Giants, Braves, Phillies etc. are better then the Sox. I would even agree the Yankees are, however you treat the Sox like they are a tee ball team, and have no talent. All I am saying we didn't make the playoffs due to elite players being injured.
