wow.... smart Prince

9 year deal and has no out clause.. nicely done
Prince had nothing to do with that, that's all Boras.

Just when everyone thought Boras had lost it he gets this for Fielder. Genius.

early reports are to see if Miggy wants to play 3B again.

But, honestly, I think Fielder is overrated. DET paid way too much

Tigers asked Miguel Cabrera's permission before they went and signed fielder. So I think Cabrera is willing to move.

Did not see this coming at all. Best 3-4 combo in the MLB?

I took a nap and my dad came and told me. Still can't get over this. Just amazing.

vastly overpaid, but detroit has the best 3/4 and for the next 4 years it'll be fine

it's the back half you have to worry about because miggy and prince can't both DH full-time

Neither will probably be DH...

someone has to DH at all times

this Miggy to 3B talk is laughable

I think he could surprise some people. I don't think he gets enough credit for the job he does at 1B, granted I know 3B is a lot different and more difficult, but I'm confident he will do fine at 3B, if indeed that's where he goes. Cabrera won't settle for DH and neither will Prince, they'll both be out there playing.

How much credit do you deserve at first when you simply aren't very good at it?

it would be a disaster

if miggy is so good at 1st, keep him there and DH prince

imo, just alternate the 2 at DH/1B. im sure this is what they'll eventually determine come spring training

I watched every game and rarely seen him screw up, he always made the plays that he needed to at 1B. I'm pretty sure a .991 Fielding% clarifies that. Anything that comes his way at first, he makes a play on it, EVERY time. Especially for his size, it amazed me.
