Holy shit Adam Warren and Jeimer Candelario are supposedly in the deal with Torres. There has to be some other good piece coming over from the Yankees. If this is all for a 2 month rental that'd be crazy.

He's probably the most valuable player who will be traded at the deadline

You don't see superstar catchers being traded with 1 1/2 years on their contract left

A bit torn on the Indians push for Lucroy. Would love to add him but with the year he's having and the fact he's under contract next year means he'll cost us at least one of Zimmer or Frazier. I'm all about going big but I just don't think that Lucroy would push us over the edge and have us competing with Toronto and Baltimore. Ideally I'd just stand pat with Roberto Perez and Chris Gimemez and hope Gomes bounces back next year.

I do like some of Milwaukee's pen arms though, Smith or Jeffries would be great additions, both of them controlled until 2020. Assuming a hefty price tag for them because of that reason though, a team like Milwaukee won't let go of controlled pitching cheap, understandably.

Looks like Torres, Adam Warren and Billy McKinney (former 1st rounder, currently listed as the Cubs #9 prospect by Baseball America) for Chapman.  Torres is blocked at the major league level with the Cubs, as is McKinney.  Torres is blocked with the Yankees, unless they move him to 3B also.

Yeah I tried that too but it didn't work. So I just posted the text and it looked like a giant clusterfuck.
