I am a huge fan of Pedroia, and hate the Yankees, but I would still take Cano over Pedroia.

Utley's UZR is way better then Cano's, but their WAR's are equal. Teixeira kills Howard in both WAR and UZR..

Not to mention, you don't even know the basis and background to all these stats.. You just throw them out. Brett Gardner, Yunel Escobar and Howie Kendrick rank higher in WAR then the likes of Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Mark Teixeira, Asdrubal Cabrera, Kevin Youkalis, Brian McCann, Lance Berkman, and Robinson Cano. Are they better players then those guys? No.

Pedroia has the 3nd highest WAR in baseball, and Cano is slated at 47th. Not to mention the difference between their defenses is ridiculous. Pedroia has a UZR/150 of 22.4. Cano has a UZR/150 of -8.1. Yeah, NEGATIVE 8.1.

Cano is the better offensive player, while Pedroia is the better fielder.

Sorry to bump an older thread, but WAR is a much better way to measure player values. If you want a starter kit, OPS+ does in a pinch.
