NY Watersports is a watersports instructing company. They teach wakeboarding, wakeskating, and water skiing. Here's the logo and some other branding work I've done for them so far including business cards and an oval sign (24"x12")

Thanks man, I appreciate the thoughtful feedback! I actually considered adding some more detail to the camera. However, Snapchat has made the circle in the box look synonymous with taking pictures (See below).        Users are used to correlating the above icon with "snapping" a video or photo...

Sorry, I think my post may have been confusing. I added Instagrams old/new logo at the top. The one at the bottom is my shot at refreshing it.

So what do you guys think of the new Instagram logo? Is it better/worse? I like the thinking to simplify but they could have achieved what they set out to do while maintaining integrity from the original brand. Here's my shot at doing that. Let me know what you think!

It's funny because when I sketched the logo I intended for it to be OB 13, but realized the J was there once I vectorized it. You're right, it probably would be more impressive to add the J in the logo idea section. I'll prob do that some time in the next day or so.
