i came reeeally close to picking the Tigers over the Yankees too. That series I think is going to be a real battle.

I don't think there is a reason to believe that.. Obviously it could happen, but if the Tigers lose game 1, they're pretty much done, and even if they win, Jim Leyland already said he isn't going to pitch Verlander in game 4 regardless of what happens in the series, he'll start game 5 if it happens.

Yeah cause New York's starting rotation is like sooooooooooo good. You also fail to remember that Fister is pitching just about as good, if not better, than Verlander.

Game 2 we get a young Ivan Nova, and Game 3 we get Freddy Garcia. If you don't think Detroit can take either of those games, it just shows your biased against Detroit.

We eat pitcher's like Fister for breakfast. Why do you think we've had our way with the Twins these past few post-seasons? They have a bunch of slow-throwing, pitch-to-contact type guys like Fister.

I never said it was guaranteed, but pitchers that are similar to Fister don't fare well against the Yankees. It can't really be denied.

If the Tigers can win game 1, I like our chances. I do like our chances for game 2 as well. It won't be easy, but it can be done. I don't really care what anyone thinks though, the Tigers will just have to go out there and prove people wrong, that's all there is to it.
