No ERA is more important. A closer on a bad team with 25 saves this point in the season with an ERA of about 5 means he gets his saves when the Giants are up 2-3 runs, rarely 1 run games.

Would you want Joe Borowski or Mariano Rivera last year to close you out? Borwoski had more saves but a terrible ERA.

Fact is, he doesn't deserve to be on there IMO

A closer on a bad team, one of the worst in the MLB, who leads his league in saves. Good pitcher, just gives up some runs. Makes the all star team, not even by default since Lincecum was already named to it, and he doesn't deserve to be on a banner on a sports forum

You build a banner to ATTRACT new members, as well as appeal to existing ones. If the GFX Crew wishes to attempt a different banner, I would hope to see more "house-hold" names on there. Neither Wilson nor Johnson are in that category..

I didn't say he's more qualified, I didn't say hes the perfect player to be on it, I didn't even suggest for him to be on it! But does the banner lose cool points in your view just because he's being original and using a player whos probably on no banners. Does his originality upset you?

Wow; some of you guys are really a bunch of jackasses. This skin was done for free. If you don't like it, don't use it. Just shut the hell up.

The skin has a real nice professional style to it, in my opinion. It's different than the other five, and in a good way.

Like I said, if you don't like it, don't use it. Quit complaining about someone's free work. That, or design something better yourself.

Lets get rid of the SI Insomnia. It's ugly and I doubt anybody uses it. Plus if Marcum designs another skin for us or keeps this one doesn't matter, could we maybe get rid of the SI Night, doesn't matter as much as SI Insomnia.
