More I think about it, it's like having Tucker or a poor man's version of Gary Roberts which is pretty good. It's just the term that is ugly. 7 years for his style of play? He'll be done after 4.

He went to Russia for a year to spend time with family, and he said that was the reason.
 
1) Devils couldn't pay him
2) Really wanted to be with family
3) More money in the KHL?
 
But he was going to make a lot of money in the NHL too, so #3 could be a minor one.
 
I have a feeling #2 was the biggest reason.
