I just have a feeling the Steelers or the Bengals will take it this year.

Isn't Pitta out for the whole season? Joe Flaccs got paid, a shit ton.

I call them placing 3rd place too.

Yep, plus the last 11 years or something, 1 of the 2 teams that played in the SB hasn't made it back to the Playoffs the next year. And don't see San Fran missing lol

Since 1999 (so past 13 years), and the defending Super Bowl champion hasn't won a playoff game in the following season since '06

Cincy 11-5
Pittsburg 10-6
B'more 8-8
Brownies 5-11

Finally the Bungals year!  Love the added TE via draft to a team already enjoying a solid game through the air.  PIttsburgh is on the down and Baltimore just lost 11 or so starters from a year ago.

Going with Cincy, not because they've taken a huge step forward but because the others have taken a step back.

How is Pittsburgh on the down? They had half their starters injured at some point (QB, RB, LT, C, RG, RT, ILB, SS, FS)

They had CB depth so losing Keenan wasn't terrible. Got Jarvis to replace an aging Harrison. Everyone is healthy.

And tbh, losing Wallace was a good thing imo. One of the least intelligent players in the NFL in terms of route running, and in terms of big plays, I see no reason Wheaton can't do that same stuff. Gives more of a focus to Brown and Sanders, both whom I'd rather have over Wallace. And if the Steelers throw the ball less, is it really a bad thing? They became too pass reliant, and the Steelers have always been a grind it up run team.

My hopes are just asking to be shattered. Being a Bengals fan, I've learned not to get my hopes up and expect the worst, but I do think there's no reason why this team can't compete for the division title this year. Tied with the Ravens last year at 10-6 and lost several games by 7 points or less. Re-signed the players they needed to, filled a few holes through free agency and had a good draft. No reason why this team can't compete. I definitely don't see what Pittsburgh has done to tremendously improve the team from a year ago and the Ravens did lose a ton of players. Will be curious to see how this plays out. Got the Browns in the division as well, lol.

I see a pattern here....

Pittsburgh has no proven running back and hasn't since one great season of Mendenhall so until I see it happen, I'm not buying it.  The defense seems to lose a key starter every season and half their O-Line is turning over.  I wouldn't be so quick to bank on the Steelers.

Yeah, it's been a bit. Anytime I can't remember my username/password to log in, it's been a bit. Had to come back just in time for football season so you guys could hear me complain, also have to hear all of your great wisdom. Definitely can't go without that for long. Haha
