There's a reason he gets moved from position to position, because he ain't getting it done there.

Mine would be Bautista and Kemp.

But I feel like Gonzalez and Braun will get it.

Well it's not like Bautista's a butcher at the field. He's a solid defender.

What makes you say that? lol. You need to back up your statements a bit more honestly lol. .975 FPCT is pretty good to me...

LOL

Solid defenders dont have negative UZRs

The MVP should go to the best all around player on the field. And that is Pedroia. 2nd in WAR, 2nd in UZR. Hitting over .350 since June.

His UZR isn't that great this year, however he makes up for that with his Arm.

He's also moved around in the field because of young players getting called up.

his DRS (defensive runs saved above average), ewhich Fangraphs calls its "Fielding Bible", is -1. Pedy's is 11

Well maybe not solid but like GMF said, his arm makes up for it. I personally don't agree with Pedroia winning it, yes he has a a high WAR and is a plus defender but Boston has a very very good team. Bautista has great numbers and without him, Jays would probably 10 games under .500 or something.

You watch the guy play everyday and you can't tell he's a shitty defender?

FPCT = useless

So are the majority of defense metrics.

He's not. Give me one reason that he's a shitty defender?

But the Jays aren't good now.

Its not like Bautista is putting them in the playoffs by himself. They're 4th in the division and is 15 games behind the Sox. If he was the MVP, he'd be actually pushing his team over .500

This maybe not JUST 1 player though. Romero has also been great as well.

Lol I know but we're 21-28 this year against AL East teams while we're actually over .500 against other divisions.

Put Jose Bautista in a Red Sox or Yankees jersey and hes undoubtedly your MVP.

The difference between Gonzalez and Bautista, is that one is a first baseman and the other is an outfielder.
Another difference is that Gonzalez is Mexican and Bautista is Dominican.

Also, Gonzo is a lefty hitter, Bautista is a righty hitter.

Gonzo is 29 years old and Bautista is 30 years old.

Bautista is easily MVP
Kemp is my MVP as well, but the NL is really really bunched up
