2:45 left in the first half; Portland @ LA

Dennis doing what he was brought in to do and that's to make the other star player work for his stuff. Brandon Roy so far; 0 points, 0 rebounds, 1 assists.

I could see him having a bigger 2nd half though. Not only do I see him being more aggressive, but the Lakers have a big lead which always leads to relaxing and letting the other team go on big runs.

Oh and Gasol already has 12, 10, and 7.

Lakers up 54-32

Stuckey pretty much gave a big FU for being benched.

God damn, Pau Gasol is an assist away from a trip-dub with like 9 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter.

but really, this Laker team is freaking off the hook
way better than both championship teams.

im talking to you CC.
look beyond "small sample size" and opponents (portland is good though)
just look at the actual team. you say im biased for thinking they're far and away better than the west? ok

It's the same team as last year + Steve Blake lol. It will be the same deal as last year.. They'll start strong, then start having to deal with injuries and fatigue later in the year and start dropping more games, then start resting guys at the end to get back to full strength and drop more games. They won't contend for 72 wins.

im not saying 72, not even calling 70
but amazing team

same team as last year?
no Bynum yet
Blake is light years ahead of Farmar
Shannon Brown is a baller now cheato. i cant even hate anymore. he has a legitimate jumper now
matt barnes > luke walton and sasha

just an amazing team. just cant stop gushing
unbelievable. i've never felt like this before

I said same team as last year + Steve Blake, so I would be assuming he's better then Farmar there.

Shannon's 'legit' jumper will turn into nothing once he starts coming back down to earth.

and I have never liked Barnes.. Dude sucks, just can't stand him.

Maybe that was his plan? Bench Stuck knowing he'd be pissed and take it out on Golden State. Get some fire in the team. I hope that wasn't the case, just trying to think of a strategic reason for it. See, this is why i'm not a coach lol.
