Pau is soft as cake and doesn't help the Hornets what so ever.

And no, Odom is not fringe all-star talent. C'mon Mexi.
cmon rip

he's a 15/10/5 guy as a starter. thats fringe all-star
similar level to josh smith, iggy, etc

It's funny, everyone who isn't a Laker fan knew the deal was bullshit, and now they're happy it got voided. Now tomorrow, the entire media will kill the NBA and Dan Gilbert because they drive the players agenda like no other.

I still find it funny how people like Danny Granger, Jason Richardson, etc.. are complaining.. You're making millions of dollars to play basketball, shut the fuck up.

Why is Chris Paul the one filing a lawsuit by the way? It's not like they vetoed a contract extension or signing.

THoughts on CP trade:

Everyone is throwing Stern under the bus...again. Sure he's the one that pulled the trigger, but to my knowledge the owners voted on the deal and came to a conclusion it was a no deal. So if you wanna be mad at someone be mad at the owners.

I also think it would be fine for LA to get Paul in this deal though. Sure the Hornets will be able to be bought for 20M below what they were, and sure they will most likely suck completely this year. Oh and the 2nd best player in this deal (Pau Gasol) doesn't even go to the Hornets...

I'm fine with it being vetoed, everyone is freaking out cause we've never seen this happen before...even though it probably should have happened before. But I wouldn't mind this trade going down either...AS long as the Lakers don't get Dwight.

ALSO if the Hornets traded Paul to Houston...no one would even raise a finger.

So much for Paul being a good guy...now he's gonna hold out.

Because he has no intention of resigning with the Hornets.

If he gets traded to another team, he can opt out and resign with them for the MAX deal, and make $100M. If he gets traded to another team, it shows that Stern dictated where he could go. He may not want to stay with that new team, and he opts out and goes to FA, and won't make as much $$. This move by the NBA costs him money.

And I've also heard that one reason this was rejected is because Stern said he doesn't want Chris Paul to dictate where he can go.... but Chris Paul never publicly said anything, and asked for a trade to NY, not LA. This is simply the league not happy about big market teams getting good players and it's going to be a bloodbath.

As much as their is a lot of different opinions on the whats going on with this deal, I don't really have one. Whatever happens, happens. I think the NBA should have just locked out for the entire season. They obviously don't have their shit together and they are rushing everything
