New Orleans GM Dell Demps is "disconsolate" over this stunning, heavy-handed move from the commissioner's office, source tells Y! Sports.

Such a wild day in sports, CP3 was traded then not traded. Albert Pujols leaves St. Louis.

If the Lakers were supposedly giving up so much, why was every Laker fan acting like they won the lottery when the deal was announced? Shouldn't they be relieved they're getting their great players back?

Phil Jackson called this on 12/29/10 about NBA owning Hornets: "When Chris says he has to be traded, how’s that going to go?" ... Jackson: "Someone’s going to have to make a very nonjudgmental decision that’s not going to irritate anyone else in the league.”

Several GM's were lauding the haul of players and the draft pick that Demps was able to get back for Chris Paul in the deal. Now what?
...?

So what happens if Chris signs with NY in FA next year? Will the league veto that too?

No, the NBA can't overturn one man's decision. They're overturning the trade because the league owns the Hornets and the majority of the league didn't want the deal to go through.
