I'm excited to see Luzardo, if he comes in to the game.

He was filthy, as I expected him to be. I'm looking forward to watching him next season as a starter, except against the Twins.

Personally would’ve thrown Tanaka Game 1 so having him now up 1-0 is huge...bury em

We'll see how today goes. The Twins are pitching a guy no one has heard of (Randy Dobnak -- check out his story. Its really interesting).

Cardinals hang on in extras. Let's see if the Yankees finish off the Twins tonight.

Yanks gotta finish it here. Don’t give them life with their ace coming back out next

Absolutely zero excuses for how the Twins played in this series. We know our pitching is suspect, but so is the Yankees, and we only scored 7 total runs in three games. Fucking. Pathetic.

Zero excuses. What a bunch of losers.

Why we're so certain that Berrios is an ace is beyond me. Odo is better and if Gibson was consistent, he would be too, but Gibson's highs are better than Berrios's highs.

Berrios is easily the best pitcher on that team. Potential, talent, execution no matter how you slice it

I don't disagree that the talent is there and is superior. I just don't like how inconsistent he is. It seems like he hasn't thrown a gem since midsummer

I can't believe we've got 3 game 5s, and even more so I can't believe Verlander had an off night when he pushed for the short rest start.

I still think the Astros pull it off with Gerrit Cole at home.

Any predictions for tonight's games?

16 straight playoff losses seems like a lot. Is that a record?

These poor saps gotta stop playing the Yankees lol

Not sure there’s another team that scares me less in the playoffs haha ever since A-Rod hit that homerun off Nathan 10 years ago they haven’t stood much of a chance

That HR may have crushed the Twins' soul

That was a killer. The pitch was high and away. ARod hit it into the right field seats. I remember it all too well.

Verlander was "on" and the Yankee bullpen showed its muscle. The guys on MLB Tonight said that sending LeMahieu was the right move, but I'm not sure. With the Yankee lineup, I don't think you need to take chances like that. It took a good play to get him, but Corea is that good.

Hurts because it felt like we had that game but getting game 1 was huge. Bronx is about to be rockin
