Honest to God, the best Lions RB is inactive. Give Zenner the high carry total and he will produce. These other cats suck and are injury prone. Abdullah and Washington are busts. You're better off with Zenner and Riddick out there

But you still watched that conference more than anybody did by a large amount, and therefore are projecting his collegiate success to the NFL. Nobody on this site could name a player from the states of the Dakotas prior to Carson Wentz being drafted (hint: the most recent one who was actually anything more than being a backup was freaking Adam Vinatieri)

We're just seeing what he does on the NFL level, and he's not nearly as good as you're making him out to be for an NFL running back. There's a reason he's an inactive RB4...

Yeah, because the Lions two other inactive RB4 or 5 caliber RBs are draft picks. Zenner is better than both

Riddick is their best back by a wide margin. I'd still probably take Abdullah over Zenner too.

Damn I hate our general manager. Keeping the same O-line and picking up some pieces to "help" Eli isnt what we needed. What he needs is a good pass protection offensive line and complimentary running game.

Manning isnt in a position anymore to win the game solely with his arm.

I've been saying for a year, Flowers is a guard, not a tackle. They shoiukd have either moved him to the right side or cut him. He's utterly useless at LT.

Either way, that loss wasn't all on him. We played like a team with poor coaching. Constantly committing penalties.

I'm actually legit worried for Eli. Week 6 vs the Broncos pass rush might end his season.

hed be fine at G but hed excel most at RT. he should have never been at LT that was a poor management move. His skill set is built off his length and strong arms, but hes got poor footwork. Hes got a strong enough anchor that hed do well at RT tho (look at Marcus Cannon as a decent comp)

Gotta give props to the Giants for building an offense around their receiving corps with a QB that's on the decline and a line that can pass protect. Excellent roster construction by them. They're essentially an air raid team, except they can't throw the ball.

Not to mention the non-existent running game...

I mean if they had just a competent OL theyd be an elite offense

Odell / Marshall / Sheppard / Engram / Vereen is one of the best passing threats any team in the league could put out there. They just need a decent OL to give Eli time to pass

Like Joe Thuney and David Andrews are hardly special lineman for the Pats, but they can do enough to not be a negative.

They could have made an effort to improve the line in the offseason, but they decided to double down on an already good receiving corps. They didn't draft a lineman (who didn't make the team btw) until the 6th round and the only free agent they brought in is DJ Fluker who can't even start for them. They barely even tried to address their most glaring need.
