The Red Sox and Yankees can go back and forth all they want. The Rays are the class of the AL East for years to come.

Lol the Rays. They're going back to 3rd place for a few years guaranteed.

Yeah, with all of the players the Rays lost, it's going to be very difficult but anything can happen I guess. I would love to see them do it, but I don't see it happening.

UPDATE: The A's, reports FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, have backed out of negotiations with Beltre, leaving the Angels and possibly the Rangers as the lone suitors for the free agent third baseman.

Yankees should pick the dude up for no reason at all. Pick up Rafael Soriano too. Beltre at DH and Soriano as set-up man/closer of the future, I like. Realistically, A-Rod should be moved to DH and Beltre should play 3rd, but that wouldn't happen because of the whole pride thing.

Maybe we should throw him at catcher, doesn't get much worse than Jesus Montero and Cervelli behind the plate.

I actually see the Yankees signing Rafael Soriano as a good fit. Making a very strong bullpen with which to use, but first Cashman needs to stop bullshitting around with Pettite and let him know whats up. The guy has been great and all, but its time for him to either retire and agree that he wants to play this year.

So where do you all think Beltre will end up? I'm hoping L.A. or Oakland

I'm an idiot and forgot this topic existed lol

Anyway, Jon Heyman tweeted that Andruw Jones is on a list of RH OFs the Yankees are considering.

I sit here and pray everyday that the M's are foolish enough to trade King Felix. It will never happen and the M's would be retarded to trade him, but a man can pray.

Haha yeah. Not going to happen.

If Pettitte decides to come back then the roto is set. If not, then it's time go after Jeremy Bonderman, Justin Duchscherer, Jeff Francis, ect. They really don't have much pitching depth. They could use an arm or two in AAA in case of injury.

anyone notice the odd shift. 10 years ago, everyone wanted a LH bat. Now everyone seems to be in search of RH bats. I think there are going to be a lot of screwed up kids out of this who's dads dictate them to bat from one side of the other.

I see them forging ahead with whatever they can find at the moment and then around May Pettitte will pull the Clemens/Pedro come back to pitch the last 3 months of the season type thing.

Was a rumor that the Tigers were interested in Michael Young to play 2b.
Dumbrowski squashed that.

Said we are "set" at 2b.
Will Rhymes, Scott Sizemore, Carlos Guillen, Danny Worth and Ramon Santiago all competing for 2b shouldn't be considered set. It's just 5 below-average players battling to be the best below-average player lol.

CLEVELAND -- Having Carlos Santana in the Opening Day lineup is becoming less of a hope and more of a reality for the Indians.

Santana -- now six months removed from surgery on his left knee -- has been cleared to begin Spring Training with no restrictions. That is great news for Cleveland, which holds its first official workout for its pitchers and catchers on Feb. 17. The club's first full-squad workout is scheduled for Feb. 20.
Great news, he's already a top 5 catcher in the MLB right now.

I laughed when I read him saying we're "set" Not even close. Haha. I wouldn't of minded seeing Michael Young on the Tigers. I've always liked him.
