I would say that this is more of an organization deal rather then a normal trade. I'm sure Demps is talking to everyone the owner/Ferry/etc and they all have their opinions.   We've heard some want to take that LA deal, but others don't.

Thats smart on the Pelicans. Trading AD now does not benefit them at all. Other than getting him off the team so the fans dont boo.    Tatum may not be available, but the #1 or #2 picks might be. Just so much of a smarter move to wait till summer for the Pels.
