That was a great speech he made, imo. I like how he goes about his business, and you can tell how much it means to him to be the MVP, and not just the MVP. He just appreciates being in the NBA, which doesn't seem to be the case for every player. He definitely deserved it this year. Now it would...
I'm sure they are really hurting from his departure. His list of teams seems to grow by the day, maybe he is going to be one that is on every roster at least once.
That's awesome. I like how they changed their tone once they saw him. The last one was the best. The boos aren't surprising, but he didn't deserve them. I understand the Ellsbury boos when he came back to Fenway, more than the ones Cano got.
Vick is saying the right things, and I beleive he feels that way. It wouldn't surprise me if he won the starting job out of training camp either, because it's somewhat of a tossup between the two. Geno seems like a younger Vick, and he did a good job, with the lack of talent he had around him.
Players should be held to a standard. If they are a great player on the field, but have issues off the field, you can give them some leeway. I would say the three strike approach, and after that third strike, they should be looking for work somewhere else. Three might even be too generous.
I like this addition, because it's a low risk, high reward. I don't believe it's possible to have too many arms to work with, and well, we need all the help we can get. Although, I don't think the bullpen as a whole is a huge issue, just some problem Coke, I mean areas.
You can tell it's a problem. I mean, it's unfortunate to see a player get in his own way like this, but at least he's had a long career. Oh wait, he hasn't, he just looks 40.
I think they were trying to use it as a motivator, the whole reverse psychology approach. In that case, it seemed to work, so maybe next time they will title an article "Kevin who?" when they lose their next game.
He knows the rules, and it's not a shock that someone is using pine tar, but don't make it that obvious. I know that sometimes it does seem like it, but the umpires aren't actually blind Pineda. I'm sure he will do it again, just learn to be more discreat about it. Although, the whole pine tar...
That song is great haha, it's always good to see Michigan alums in the league. He looked like he could've been something solid, but that didn't last long. Maybe a change to Carolina can change that, but I doubt it.
It would be great to see him get back out onto the field. I'm sure most people shared in the thoughts Lattimore had that he may never play again. This guy has battled so hard just to play the game, it'll be nice to see him make that a reality in the NFL.
I'm glad that we are nearing the start of Spring Training. Each offseason, I seem to miss baseball more and more. This is different, with all the new additions this time around. When we have a new haul like this, I like to get right into it and see how things turn out.
I think the Shooting Stars will be cool to watch, with the pair of father and son teams. That Celebrity All-Star Game doesn't looks alright. I've liked watching it in the past, but not much jumps out on that one. Seeing Mike & Mike might be interesting. Elena Della Donne would help the visual...
I think this is a good move for Arizona. Arroyo has his ups and downs, but he has shown that he can go out and give some quality outings. If anything, it gives them depth, and that's not a bad pitching staff.
Seems that Oakland and Coco are a nice match. He bounced around somewhat, but found a nice security in Oakland. He also seems to be playing with more youthfulness there and has been a productive lead-off hitter for them.
I knew going into Assembly Hall would be tricky. I was worried about that game, but the team also didn't play well.
Oddly enough, the last two years, on Saturday(the day before the SB), four Top-10 teams lost. Next year, if you are a Top-10 team, on Saturday, you might want to watch out.
