One NFL scouting source characterizes Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor as "a mid-round pick at best" if he were to declare for the supplemental draft.
Speaking to CBS Sports' Rob Rang, two sources questioned Pryor's "accuracy and poise," as a quarterback, and one of them called Pryor a "basketball player playing football." Said one of the scouts, pointedly, "He’s not a quarterback. He doesn’t have the makeup, the release or the accuracy for it. And he isn’t one of those guys that you can make into another position. He’s going to run well and people are going to get excited about him, but he isn’t a football player. What you’ve seen at Ohio State – on the field and off – is what you get with him."

If you need a QB to develope, then you're going to take a look at him.

If Philly gets their hands on him. Could be scary with that QB coaching.
Ill cosign that... Philly could groom him into a scary QB... Reason to trade Kolb and have a decent backup in the making.

There is absolutely no reason he can't transition into a TE, unless he lacks the dedication and work to become one... He doesn't have the makings of a pro QB.

Pryor should have stuck with basketball, he was a four or five star and was recruited by some really good schools.

He averaged 21 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals as a Junior.

His future was always in football. Was pretty much a guarantee to make the pros. Basketball is iffy.

Citing a "well-placed source," ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that there is a "decent chance" former Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor will play his first pro season in the United Football League.
This would be an option only if there is no NFL supplemental draft, but the status of that draft is very uncertain because of the lockout. Landing Pryor would be a real coup for the upstart minor league. Per Schefter, Pryor may train with QB guru George Whitfield, who tutored Cam Newton before April's draft. The UFL could also give Pryor the opportunity to play quarterback and show NFL teams that he may have a future at that position, as opposed to wide receiver or tight end.

I thought I heard somewhere that they would have the supplemental draft regardless of the lockout...I thought that was a bit odd, but still.

CFL Saskatchewan Acquire Rights To Terrelle Pryor

Yahoo! Sports - The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired the negotiating rights to Terrelle Pryor and have spoken to Pryor’s lawyer about bringing the former Ohio State QB to the Canadian Football League.

Pryor’s attorney, Larry James, said Wednesday that the CFL is a genuine possibility for the ex-Buckeye.

Attorney: Pryor Won't Play In CFL

ESPN.com - Terrelle Pryor is not interested in playing in the CFL and is focused on the NFL's supplemental draft, Larry James, his attorney, said Thursday.

James said he believes Ohio State will provide a letter that will show Pryor would not have been an eligible student athlete moving forward, which should help Pryor in his cause to be eligible for the supplemental draft due to special circumstances

Cam was able to put up great numbers because of a spread offense. Realistically you could say Pryor is more NFL ready since he's been in a pro style offense for the last 3 years but he still needs work on reading defenses and hitting his receivers in stride. Cam is a bit bigger as well.

I just think its funny how Cam is the #1 pick in the draft and Pryor has questions if he is even going to be drafted by an NFL team.

He had a much brighter future in football. He was the number one overall recruit, and he was being touted as the next "special" quarterback that we would see. In hindsight he definitely made the right move by choosing football over basketball.

Well according to Drew Rosenhaus, he will not be a good quarterback, he will be a great one. So who needs basketball? lol

would love to see him go the UFL route, maybe even play for the Virginia Destroyers to get the new team some familiar faces.
