like you especially will mock the celtics next signing if its not Hayward, because lol look what the celtics could have done and now they have this average/mediocre player instead

yet at the same time, the wolves could have had Millsap next to Towns and chose Gibson as a backup big instead

its the same thing. not a bad signing but hardly one you cheer in excitement for

im not saying it was a bad signing at all. $13M/yr is a good valued contract in todays NBA, and hes a solid player

but hes hardly a game changer

Lmao not better than dieng???

U prolly one of those who thinks dieng is a great defender right? Lmao hes brutal, ask any twolves fans

Taj with his defense and jumpshooting is better than dieng by many miles, not sure what youre talking about

At this point wolves need glue guys and veterans who play for the team

Obviously its not milsap, but they have their big 3. This is a perfect signing

again, its not a perfect signing. its a good signing; Millsap would be a perfect signing

And Dieng is a much better defender at the 5 than anyone on that roster by a large margin. Towns is an average defender at the 5, which is why Dieng will start. Towards the finish of the games Taj probably is in over Dieng because his offense is ass, but Taj is definitely not gonna start over Dieng. Never said Dieng was better, just that he would start (similarly to how Amir Johnson started for Boston last year despite adding very little value)

He got what was best available at the time. Making this team in MINNESOTA, u gotta give him some props

This whole "best theyll do is 4th seed" shit u always say like do u not want teams to try to contend? U just want em to sit there and wait around for the next lebron to get drafted to the franchise which is like not possible ever again. Teams gotta do something and i respect the fuck outta teams who arent scared to contend right now despite gsw. They could pack it up and say we'll try in 5 years but no teams like okc wolves saying fuck it we gonna go at em. Respect

Youre the one seed in the East, having just lost the ECF in 5 games.

There isnt a move to be made that will put you above Cleveland. But you STILL think Boston should have traded away the past two #3 picks & 1-2 top five picks next season, just so they can at best lose in 6 games to the Cavs

Im sorry but that logic is dumb as fuck. You do all you can to improve the team (ie signing Hayward) but you maintain the future building blocks because its better to be prepared for the future than to be in the situation we were in 2013 (lost to the Knicks in the first round with aging players)

The east is so damn weak that u making the ecf means nothing

Almost lost to us in the first round lmao

Lol i love how all of a sudden "theres no moves to make to beat cleveland" when two weeks ago you were excited to get jimmy/PG and hayward/blake

Now since u struck out, all of a sudden it all changes huh lol

Talk about dumb logic and saying what fits your narrative

Minnesotas timeline is completely different than Bostons too, btw.

They havent made the playoffs in 13 seasons, and already have a cornerstone player to build around in Towns. They can afford to trade last years and this years pick for Butler, because making the playoffs is an incredible accomplishment for that franchise.

Bostons literally missed the playoffs just three times during that span, which includes 2 Finals appearances and two ECF losses, most notably this past season as a 1 seed.

Its two completely different situations. Boston doesnt need to translate its assets into stars, but Minnesota really did

Boston should just try to win, simple as that

If losing in the ecf is your goal instead of making some moves and trying to make the finals, then enjoy

And nothing changed at all for Boston smh.

I would love to add Hayward, and if the opportunity to get George for Crowder/Bradley/3 futures was still open Id pounce on it

But we still probably wouldnt be better than Cleveland. Wed go from barely forcing 5 games to maybe winning Game 7 if things go lucky

Tell me what Boston could do/have done that would have CLEARLY put them ahead of the Cavaliers

If you think adding Butler and Hayward would be enough, then youre misguided. The only team in the East that can beat the Cavs are the Cavs themselves (through injury or disfunction), and Bostons already good enough to capitalize on that as it is.
