Yeah Grandy, 2 years..
ESPN is now reporting the contract Favre signed is a two-year deal worth $12 million this year and $13 million in 2010.

I'm not hating on Favre for wanting to play. Hell, I am a pretty big advocate of 'just go do what you love to do'....I just don't like him as a fit for the Vikings. I am 100% against the move, 50% because I don't think his style of play and age suits our offense and 30% because its unfair to guys like Jackson and Rosenfels & the other 20% because I grew up watching him captain our biggest rival.

At the end of the day, if the Vikings win...I am happy. I will never agree with this move unless it proves to pay off. But for now I happen to agree with what Cris Carter thinks about the move. Carter: "Not only is it unfair to the Vikings current quarterbacks but your also talking about families being affected by this move..."

Yeah, I forget how to spell his name sometimes. I'm not the biggest favre fan but I stick up for him anyway.

I HATE Brett Favre. Great now more publicity and news divided to a man who doesnt deserve it.... I wish Tavaris and Sage would demand trades, lol. That would be fun.

I don't know what he needs to prove anymore. He's done everything a QB can do. It's best for him to go out on top rather than possibly get injured and forced to retire or have a shocking season in which people will remember.

If it's an itch that he can't let go, then become an assistant somewhere or go into the media...anything

Tarvaris has value and the first 2 teams that come to mind are the teams that Michael Vick said also made him offers: Cincinnati and Buffalo

Cincinnati really doesn't want to go into the 09 season with JT O'Sullivan as their back-up and Buffalo has got to be nervous with the injury history of Trent Edwards.
