DALLAS -- The ankle injury that has sidelined Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant for the last three games will knock him out of Sunday's All-Star Game as well.

The NBA has lined up Jason Kidd of the hometown Dallas Mavericks to replace the ailing Bryant, sources told ESPN.com.

JKidd?

ok, whatever. kinda think it should have went to Aaron Brooks, but I guess since it's in Dallas...

Did you guys realize that the Jazz have won something like 13/15 games including a 9 game win streak that the lakers snapped last night?
i didnt.

did you know Boozer is averaging 20/10? (rounded up)
I think the NBA missed it with him. Kaman over Boozer?
Stern must have flat out forgot like I did. I had no idea he was doing so well

and DLee is in the All-star game. nice, but i still kinda feel like Stephen jackson got snubbed. Whatever, I guess 2 bobcats would be too much

Kidd will have more of an impact than Brooks anyways. Plus it's Jason Kidd, you know what you're gonna get he's gonna help make some highlight reel plays probably. Plus he's having his best season as a Mav

i hate to do this but...

Monta is hurt
Stern hates Boozer I heard. thats why Kaman made it over him
Evans is a rookie on a bad team
Bynum is hurt
Rudy Gay/OJ Mayo- 2 grizzlies on the team? yeah right
Kidd has better overall numbers than Aaron Brooks, and is in Dallas and on a better team

Out with Horford, in with Josh Smith. There you go.
I honestly think they should have done that in the first place but choosing DLee over JSmoove is just as bad

Dirk is starting now in the ASG as expected and as deserving. They said he was going to be the 6th man and play ASG starters minutes anyways.

And I mean it's Jason Kidd. Most of the players at the game would rather play with him than Aaron Brooks. Brooks will have his time in the future. It's more of a living legend, hometown team invite. But it's not like he still can't play at an All-Star level. He'll probably be one of the top assist men in the game.

Amare - Duncan - Dirk - Anthony - Nash

talk about going big xD

Well, the West has no SG on the roster, so it was either gonna be Anthony or Durant there. LOL
