I agree as well with his point, but using Wade as an example would have been much more appropriate

I voted Wade at 4 but I'm going to have a hard time not voting for Wes Matthews for any spot after (this is assuming he gets back to form once he returns). I think he's better than JJ Redick on a game by game basis and I just don't see Kobe as all that effective anymore, at least not moving forward.

I agree with his point about JJ though.
Don't get me wrong he is a fantastic player and would take him in a heartbeat, but he is just a very very good role player.
He's like a better defending Korver. Is that good enough for 4th? Idk.
I wouldn't make that comparison. Don't get me wrong Korver has a tremendous impact on the Hawks offensively, but he can only do one thing.

Nearly 80% of his shots come in catch and shoot situations. 65% of his shots are catch and shoot threes. If you can run him off the line you largely minimize any threat he brings shooting the ball. He can't put the ball on the floor, if he takes one dribble his efficiency plummets. He doesn't even attempt to put the ball on the floor more than once. Redick meanwhile, don't get me wrong he's a fantastic catch and shoot player, but his percentages are actually better if he puts the ball on the floor, and he's already a premier catch and shoot guy in the league. He's also a FANTASTIC ball handler in the PnR, while Korver didn't even have 30 possessions in the PnR. Dribble handoffs is another example.

And DWade, idk, he was really good this year but I think he has inflated numbers. He had the highest usage rate of any SG, and he was three and a half percentage points higher than the second place guy, James Harden. Miami force fed him the ball and it resulted in his numbers. I'd just prefer a guy like Redick who is an elite off the ball wing and is also really good with the ball in his hands, as well as a quality defender. If DWade doesn't have the ball, what is he doing for you? And his defense definitely isn't up to par?

I didn't mean it as a player comparison. More so a role comparison.
Has a defined role, does it well, but that's about it.

I never said JJ was the MVP, that will come later

- Me in 2006. I'm going to count him being top 10 in this as an MVP
