We will be starting our 5th annual SI player rankings.  Last year we only go to the SF position, but I'm quite determined to get the rankings completely finished this year.

Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around. Nola and I will be guys running the polls in order to try to get this done this time around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

I'm going with JJ, I think DWade had better raw stats but his usage rate was incredibly high. Higher than any SG, two percentage points higher than the #2 guy in James Harden. I think he and Redick can give you similar production, just in different ways. Redick is under utilized in my opinion, playing 30 minutes a night so Crawford can get his 27. He should see 33-34 minutes a night, I don't see why he couldn't do what Klay does for GS offensively. Plus I think he's a better defender than Wade.

Klay has a post game and Redick doesn't and Klay is a little more athletic but other than that I agree about the comparison between the two offensively

Kissass? I'm sure me and CC can both attest to how ridiculous of a post that is lmao

How highly I think of Redick is well documented, all the way back to when he was moved to Milwaukee.

Redick is a goddamn role player. Kobe is still a go-to guy. There is no reason to not take Kobe.

Kobe shouldn't be a go to guy though. He's only one because he is delusional and still thinks a team can win with him as the best player taking 20+ shots a night

Kobe is a go-to guy because he forces himself to be, that doesn't mean he should be one. Like cheato said, he shouldn't be one anymore.

I agree with his point about JJ though.
Don't get me wrong he is a fantastic player and would take him in a heartbeat, but he is just a very very good role player.
He's like a better defending Korver. Is that good enough for 4th? Idk.

I agree as well with his point, but using Wade as an example would have been much more appropriate
