Pretty sure Sabathia is pitching the first.
Either way, both Sabathia and Tanaka have fared well against us this year with our inconsistent offense.

I predict Yankees take both today for 3/4 overall in the series.

They should have had the first game too.

Not what YES network was saying yesterday, but maybe they changed their mind after depleting their bullpen yesterday

Yea, the Yankees PR tweeted last night that it was Sabathia, then Tanaka.

You can't be serious.... Last time Tanaka faced the Red Sox he gave up 5 runs on 3 homers.

You're right, but the first time he shut us out.  It's a give or take with that guy.  His ERA is high, but he's beaten us many times in the past and has been a top notch pitcher before.  That might be the one game we salvage with Price on the mound.

I have no confidence in Porcello though.

Ah gotcha. Must've decided to use their extra roster spot on a reliever today. It was supposed to be some guy named Mitchell.

I get what you're saying, but I know quite a few Yankee fans and they all have 0 confidence in Tanaka. He's been better as of late, but still wildly inconsistent all season.

I think we could win that game if Price is on his money (pun intended).

That being said, we won't win Porcello's game unless it comes down to our bullpen (which is obviously depleted) or we somehow score a ton of runs that we couldn't score the last two games.  Porcello needs run support to win, that's how bad he is.

Porcello vs Yankees is practically the same situation as Tanaka vs Red Sox this season. Early this season he allowed 2 ER and struck out 9, 2nd game he allowed 5 ER.

Nothing is a given, he could have a decent game.

Doolittle and Madson to the nats

Massive pickups. Like Huge. This puts them over the dodgers imo

Who is more likely a future dodger

Stanton or Yelich?

But season long, multiple seasons, career-wise, Porcello is worse than Tanaka.

If what the Nats gave up is gonna dictate the reliever market, the Tigers aren't gonna get shit for Justin Wilson.

I just saw how much Madson and Doolittle are getting paid.

Wilson's way cheaper so that should change things.

I wish he'd just fuck off man. Don't get why Toronto likes keeping him around.
