Where else was he gonna land on a flight from Japan?
Seattle has a lot of direct flights from Tokyo, as does San Francisco.

Why would stanton approve a trade to sf

Their hr leader missed 2 months and finished with 18
They have had one 20hr hitter the past like 5 or 6 seasons. Crawford hit 21 in 2015
They havent had a 30hr guysince Bonds

And remember the ball has been juiced the past 2 seasons lol

2012 and 2010 are beyond 5 years

2014 was luck
But even if 2014 wasn't luck, They've sucked since and still have no one in the pipeline and a lot of money tied up in cueto, samardzija, belt and crasford and melancon

Even with Stanton theyre still 4th best in the divisjon. Maybe 3rd of they're lucky

I don't think 2014 was all "luck."  There is a great deal of luck involved, yes, but you don't win a championship on luck alone (hence why the Twins didn't go very far this year).

Whether 2010 or 2012 are new or old years is irrelevant.  The point I'm making is that the Giants have won championships with little to no offense.  take especially a close look at the 2010 team.  Probably one of the worst offensive teams in history to win a World Series, but they pulled it off with great pitching, defense, and minimal clutch hitting. 2012 and 2014 were similar, except that the offense was somewhat better then.

Who cares if the Giants haven't had offense... it hasn't hurt them the last ten years.  they still won three championships.  The Dodgers have a lot of offense and they haven't managed to win one, and the same goes for several other teams.  Not every year is going to be like the 2017 postseason where offense basically won every series in the playoffs.

I don't see why Stanton would have any issue about going to the Giants.  Offense has no factor whatsoever.  Honestly, I think you're just upset he's closer to the Giants than the Dodgers.

If I were the Yankees, I'd try to get him.

If the Yankees do get him, the Red Sox are screwed. Big time.

Yeah, don't think there is anyway Stanton goes to NY.

In better news, Henry Owens was claimed by the Dbacks. Now we can stop living in a dream world where Henry Owens was ever going to contribute to the team.

Honestly, don't know don't care, but people were saying the same thing when the Yankees signed Ellsbury (they had no room in the outfield) and look what they did there.  I got bombasted at one forum for saying Ellsbury was going to the Yankees, and I was right the whole time.  The Steinbrenners know how to win.

This being said, I doubt he goes to the Yankees.  But I wouldn't be surprised if he does.
