Managers are all pretty fungible

For every good stuff maddon or tito or buck, boch etc do, they then do some headscratching stuff like not use britton, use chapman in a blowout, bunt in the 3rd inning etc

Even have baez bunt on a 3-2 pitch

part of me hopes Jose and/or Edwin goes to Boston, how funny that would be. I love to see Boston overpay for talent.

Hot Stove is cooking today

If the Tigers are selling, they need to go all out. Would be tough to trade some of those contracts but that would become the big story of the offseason for sure.

Braves-Rays talking a deal for Chris Archer. I hope the Cubs poke their heads in and see if something is possible.

Scherzer pitching in the WBC is pretty cool. Hopefully there is a good representation this tourney.

Longoria on the block

Yanks talking to Chapman and Hill

Miguel has 7 more guaranteed years which takes him thru age 40
28,30,30,30,30,30,32,32

Vesting:
30m for 2024 if he finishes top 10 in mvp for 2023
30m for 2025 if he finishes top 10 in mvp for 2024 (age 42 season)

God damn

His statistics still hold up, so consistent. There's no regrets with that contract so far, and they're probably still confident he can hit that well throughout most of that contract.

It'd probably be a big market team so they're limited in takers who can take on that risk but I don't think they're in any trouble considering his production

I could see Miggy to the Red Sox. What better player to fill the void of Big Papi than the best hitter of the last 10 years?

Would have to be a big market AL team, Yankees or Red Sox would both make sense

If the Tigers trade Miggy or JV I'm done. Those two should be Tigers until they retire.
