Would take away from the "chess-match" quality of the game.

That too. I always wondered why pull hitters didn't spend a little bit of time in BP bunting down the 3B line. Talk about making the defense look stupid.

Read that the Tigers had discussions with the Jays about Navarro. Then I read those weren't true.

I wish they were though, IDK if I can watch another full season of Avila.

Some ESPN writer has the Indians at #4 in his Spring Training Power Rankings

Not sure how I feel about that

BUT, we have arguably the most potential laden rotation in the Majors:

Corey Kluber (Age 28): 2.44 ERA (1.73 Post All-Star Break), 269 SO/236 IP
Carlos Carrasco (Age 27): 2.55 ERA (1.72 Post All-Star Break), 140 SO/134 IP
Danny Salazar (Age 25): 4.25 ERA (3.50 Post All-Star Break), 120 SO/110 IP
Trevor Bauer (Age 24): 4.18 ERA, 143 SO/153 IP
TJ House (Age 25): 3.35 ERA (2.53 Post All-Star Break), 80 SO/102 IP

Although one of these guys is going to get kicked out in favor of fucking Gavin Floyd, which is disappointing to say the least.

Id say the Mets have more potential in their's, but you guys are more likely to actually reach it

Also fucking Sandoval. This is why I didn't want to sign him. That dude should not be playing in the field, and he's not better than Ortiz

Maybe we realize he should just play 1B, move Hanley to 3rd, and go Nava-Castillo-Betts in the OF.

At the very least, it's debatable. I guess I should have specified potential with guys who already have flashed that potential at a major league level, as some of the Mets younger pitchers like Syndergaard have loads of potential, but no real showcase of it at the MLB level. So yea, I guess that plays into what you said of more likely to actually reach it.

Heard someone say "The Yankees still owe A-Rod 61 million dollar", and I nearly spit out my water

Josh Hamilton's offense 'worse' than PEDs

A major league executive told FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal that Josh Hamilton's coming disciplinary action is not for performance-enhancing drugs.

The executive said it's "worse" than that. Hamilton was summoned to New York City on Wednesday for a hearing with MLB officials and the Angels are said to be bracing for penalties. It's silly to speculate before more information is revealed, but we must note that Hamilton has a well-chronicled history of drug and alcohol addiction. This is trending in a very concerning direction. Anaheim owes the 33-year-old slugger $25.4 million in 2015, $32.4 million in 2016, and another $32.4 million in 2017.

Well damn
