Because he traded one more year under one of the best coaches on the planet for a quick payday that might land him in a shit situation.

Yeah, it could go either away. I doubt his stock could've climbed much higher. It's not like he's miraculously going to grow in the offseason.

I would've loved to have seen him come back, but he's making a fine decision.

Limited athleticism, not overly quick, short, not that long. If he stayed another year he'd probably fall to the 2nd round. I also imagine Kennard would have taken away a fair amount of ball handling from Jones.

The tournament is fresh on the mind, and teams love to over draft based on it.

Kennard is a two-guard who's going to be forced to play some 1 next year. He wouldn't have moved Tyus off the ball. Tyus probably would've been playing 35+ MPG next year at the point.

It would've been a situation like Trey Burke where he got to come back and be the go-to guy.

I meant in terms of Kennard just controlling the ball at the 2, not shifting into the PG role. He was going to have the ball in his hands a lot regardless.

If Tyus had come back I'm not even positive Kennard would've started considering Grayson Allen plays the same position and Matt Jones is Duke's best perimeter defender.

Unbiased, you think so?

He was starting to gain first round momentum. I'm not sure his stock can climb much higher
