Why aren't the Rockets trying to trade Asik to a team with cap space for an asset to open up room? He's essentially useless with Dwight. I guess they're just waiting to see if they actually get him in the first place before they deal a good player, but still.

If they get Dwight, they can wait for the right deal when it comes to trading Asik. I don't want to lose Asik either way, but what can you do? Dwight's had some injury issues lately, obviously has character issues, there's really no reason to trade Asik until we know that Dwight is in place, is back on form, and isn't a cancer.
