Cause he was on a playoff team, you get more media play.

Santana is gonna put up monster numbers, book it. Top 20 player next season.

3 Tigers in the top 10 :)
And the playoff team doesn't matter really. The Dodgers are a big market team too, they get plenty of media play.

lol plenty of media play my ass

did you know Kenley Jansen set the ALL-TIME k/9 record in 2011? 16.1
of course not

we're the smallest big market team out there. even the mets are talked about more

we're the forgotten dodgers. but we'll be back. new ownership within the next month

The West Coast in general doesn't get any talk because the games end so late.

It's Los Angeles though. They get talked about more than about 3/4 of the MLB.

Well like I said, the games start at 10:30 and last about 7 hours. Not much coverage to be had in the prime hours.

Interesting note from Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com earlier this afternoon:

Some baseball people who have talked to Tigers are convinced they'll deal for a starting pitcher by opening day

No word on who the Tigers could be targeting, but they were rumored to be in talks with the Cubs for right-hander Matt Garza during the offseason.

Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Doug Fister and Rick Porcello already have rotation spots locked up, but the Tigers enter exhibition play with their fifth starter situation pretty unsettled. Jacob Turner, Andy Oliver, Drew Smyly, Duane Below, Adam Wilk and Casey Crosby are among the possibilities.

CJ Wilson, Jered Weaver, and Dan Haren. That looks so nice to have...

I guess the Yankees are not impressed at all right now with Pineda. Only throwing around 88 to 91 mph and he averaged 94 mph last season.

A lot of pitchers don't throw at full velocity at the start of Spring Training.

jesus montero is wearing #63 because it was the number he got with the yankees when he was called up last year
he could have changed it with the M's, but nope

63 is like a lefty specialist number lol
