I am so happy to hear that. With the problems in Toronto, I can't imagine them wanting to bring him in.

Ya I seriously don't think it would be a great idea getting Bradley. Why would they want a player that has a 20 mil contract? I thought they want to shed some salary? Sure it would open up a spot for Lind on 1B but come on. Bradley has attitude problems and I don't think the Jays or any team would like a player like that.

The Mets should trade for Roy Halladay. Do whatever it takes to get him.

Damn, he would kill the NL, just absolutely destroy it. I can see it now...... Halladay and Santana, man that just gives me goosebumps.

Tejada back in Oakland would be sick!
Yeah, I figured that Bobby was done since we did try waiving him this season.

you guys had it.
Toronto even made the offer

Halladay out West would be amazing.
he'd have like a 1.6 ERA with the Dodgers

the Mets would be one of the teams I wouldn't mind seeing Halladay go to

It would suck for the Jays to see him gone but it's for his best. If he wants to be on a winning team then so be it. Although, it would take good prospects to get him. And maybe after he gets kinda old (like when he's 38 or something), then maybe he should sign back to the Blue Jays and retire as a Jay :D.

Halladay just needs to go and the Blue Jays need to start fresh. I was hearing on the radio of proposed trades for Halladay while sending Reyes and taking on Wells' contract to make the deal.

John Smoltz wants to pitch next year. I think he should go back to the bullpen and look for a role that way. I could see him making a team next year. Definitely NL, someone like the Cubs or back with the Cardinals.

Got some news that the Tigers are trying to shed payroll and they are open to talk possible trades involving Edwin Jackson.

Yea it's a gamble but he's good when he's not hurt. I don't think the Jays will try and get him, though.

The Boston Red Sox would love to keep left fielder Jason Bay(notes) in the house and have apparently offered him a four-year, $60 million deal, according to the Boston Globe.

But the Sox are apparently ready to make an offer to Matt Holliday(notes) if Bay shows any resistance or doesn't want to sign for some reason.

Of course Holliday will be looking for more dough than Bay can get, especially since he is represented by Scott Boras, who has a way of making teams separate themselves from their cash.

Lots of rumors and stuff going around today, just some of the blurbs...

- Jason Varitek has till midnight to accept or decline his $3M player option for 2010.

- Russell Branyan and Jack Wilson have declined contract offers from the Mariners.

- Blue Jays, Mariners discussing a possible Overbay trade.

- Tigers are letting teams know CF Curtis Granderson is also available. Both New York teams, and possibly Chicago, would be interested.

- Cubs should finalize a deal to bring back reliever John Grabow soon.

- Yankees plan to inquire on Roy Halladay
