I got Akeem Ayers to the Jets. Personally.
That's fine, he fits what we need. But we don't need a DT. Pouha did just fine there this season.

What WRs do you think we could get with our 3rd rounder since we don't have a 2nd?

I'm hearing a lot of stuff saying the Titans WILL take a QB at 8, and the pick is most likely Locker, as a lot of guys in the organization loved him coming out last year, and a lot of big guns attended his pro-day.

Lol @ you not understanding it. You said he made all his RBs EXCEPT Maroney. He made Maroney too

maroney is awful. how in the world did brady "make" maroney, if maroney's career high in rushing is 850 yards?! Maroney has never been good, so no, Brady did not make him

Dude, Pouha was "just fine", sure... He's also old, and why wouldn't you want someone 10 years younger to come and take over and be the nose tackle for your team? Phil Taylor is a good pick for the Jets.

Because we're trying to win it all next year and have a legit shot at it, we have to draft someone at a position of need.

And since this is the prospect thread, let me get this thought out:

The Arizona Cardinals are not drafting Blaine Gabbert. Ken Whisenhunt is on the hot seat as it is, do you think he'll spend the 5th overall pick on a QB and put his job in the hands of a rookie QB when the team has so many other needs?

I think that the Cards big board is like this:

1. Von Miller
2. Patrick Peterson
3. AJ Green
4. Robert Quinn

They need to address the defense - and if AJ Green is there, they just might take him bc that would be a sick duo to have.

Anyway, back to Gabbert. If he was a cant miss prospect, sure - invest in him. The Cardinals took two QBs in the draft last year [albeit neither were huge investements] but the fact remains that they do have a good amount of guys back there and maybe one can emerge and be formidable. I don't think Whisenhunt will throw his job future in the hands of Gabbert. Also, Fitzgerald has been yapping and even he has said he doesn't think Gabbert will be the pick.

What happens if Pouha gets hurt? I don't think that any of the pass rushers available at their pick are huge impact guys, but Taylor can be a very good nose tackle. You can always get someone in the next round to come off the edge, or play 5-technique. Either way, I think Taylor is the best player available for them in the way my mock draft shakes out personally.

We don't have a 2nd rounder.

If Pouha gets hurt someone else will have to step up. Right now, there's nobody I'm all too confident in at OLB

I edited that post, and you said we could take someone in the next round, but we can't

Damn, Pouha is 32 already? It seems like just yesterday when Berman was shouting "POO-AH" on the ESPN Draft coverage... time is flying by.

Anyone think the Cardinals would go for Quinn over Peterson?

They could, I mean pass rush might be more of a concern than CB because they do have DoRoCro back there. Thing is, Peterson is the #1 player in the draft, and Quinn is like 6-10 kind of talent. And it's not like having just DoRoCro in the secondary is a good place to be, either.

I know. I personally don't think they would.
But, if they did, which would mean Peterson would fall to the 9ers, which would be the only scenario the Gabbert falls to the Titans at 8.

That's just not the case.

Personally, I think Peterson is too talented of a prospect to fall to 7. Trades don't often happen in the top 10, but if he falls past 5 I can see teams lining up to draft him. Hell, the Browns could even take him because he really is the best prospect in a not so top-heavy draft.

As for Gabbert, I really don't think that's the case at all. I can easily see Gabbert make it to #10, I don't think every team thinks he is special enough to go that high... And it always seems as though a QB drops on draft day.

I doubt Harbaugh passes on Gabbert though.
Hell, he recruited him out of highschool.

I do agree that he could go to the 49ers (I have him going there in my mock). But you never know what could happen - I don't love Gabbert, and maybe that is clouding my judgment.

Idk why you guys are arguing so much, Blaine Gabbert is the best QB in this draft. Hes gonna be a great QB in this league.

I dont see the 49ers taking Gabbett.

They want Alex Smith back, they feel Harbaugh can do wonders with him.

Kam, even with Peterson off the board?
Who do they take then? Trade down? No one great is really on the board.
