Chris Broussard of True Hoop is reporting that the hold-up in the three-team trade that would send Carmelo Anthony to New Jersey is Al Harrington.

Denver wants to include Harrington, who has four years and $28 million left on his contract, in the blockbuster deal.

The Nuggets want the Nets to take on Harrington, but New Jersey is wary of his contract.

The three-team trade between the Nets, Nuggets and Pistons continues to inch closer.

Sources told Ken Berger of CBS Sports that New Jersey and Detroit have essentially agreed that the Pistons would get a second-round pick for taking on Johan Petro's contract.

Including Petro in the trade was a point of contention for Detroit.

Another point of contention is that Denver would prefer not to send Devin Harris to New Jersey, so they can ship him to Portland (perhaps in the same deal) for Nicolas Batum.

I'm liking this Harris in Portland idea. With Roy out, they could really use him. I don't think Andre Miller would like this...but oh well.

Im thinking this isnt gonna happen

Melo said he wants too speak with the GMs, meaning he's not sure what the hells going on.

Billups has already said he will probably ask for a buyout, taking away one of the majpr pieces they'd recieve in the trade.

And its hit the public, and how often do major trades go through when they hit the public?

Im saying this one because Im still hoping we get him via FAcy and two because Melo doesnt look like he really wants to play for NJ

Can you blame him? I'm sure with all the talks heating up he's thinking about it more. And i'm sure he's thinking...the Nets suck...they always seem to suck, except for that 1 year they made the finals with Kidd and KMart and those guys.

Blake Griffin is Denver's dream trade target in a Carmelo Anthony deal, but they've consistently been rejected by the Clippers, according to sources.

The Nuggets have also made overtures about Portland's Nicolas Batum and have been turned away.

Denver front office is starting to look like clowns. Asking for way too much, threatening to trade to a division rival of the Nets, and that. Wow. It's like a Sim League GM's on this site.

Thats the stupid thing. Denvers front office is immature and unexperienced. Their team president and 30 years old, and this is their GM's first season.

I'm pretty sure that we went to the finals in back to back seasons, and arguably should've been there for a third time in a row...

How much better have the Knicks been lately?

At this point, I only want Melo to come here, just to spite the haters.

Well, this year they've been a lot better.

And who do you think Melo would rather play with?
Raymond Felton
Amar'e Stoudemire

or
Rip Hamilton
Chauncey Billups

not to mention the Knicks will still have some young players and draft picks to improve, whereas the Nets would just be... ugh...
