Nobody is comparing him to Fitz.
Danny said that Mike Thomas basically has the talent to become nice in the playoffs which he does. Not Fitz nice, but Mike Thomas' upside is Steve Smith Carolina WR.
I don't even see him being a Steve Smith. Again, I liked his talent coming out of college at Arizona, him and Mike Wallace were really neat prospects, but still. The only way he might just absolutely break-out onto the scene is if you guys get a premier QB in the Draft, and he pans out really well, then I could see that.

Funny because Gene Smith (Jags GM) and Polian both have said that he reminds them of a young Steve Smith. Just isn't in the both situation yet to put up numbers like Steve does.

Not like Polian is the best talent evaluator like most Colts fans make him out to be. :p

See our drafts from the past few years. Especially top talents. He can get some nice, young talent right, but overall he is overrated as hell.

He is overrated, and has drafted 1st round busts since like 04.. but you gotta respect his opinion.

Gene Smith on the other hand (who will be one of the NFLs best GM's in about 2 years) is one of the best talent evaluators in the league. His word > Everybody's

I am in a love-hate relationship with Polian. I respect the man a <Censored> ton, but at the same time, I don't dick ride him like most fans and give him all this credit he doesn't deserve.

He hasn't identified solid talent for the Colts in the high rounds in a long, long time.

He got Bob Sanders definitely right, same with Dallas Clark, but lately.. He has been horrible.

You should be wanting garbage ass Palmer gone.. not Chad.
Yeah, an offensive line that can't block, WR's running the wrong routes, no running game, that really does make the QB look bad. I don't want Carson gone, he isn't the problem. I got faith in our QB, he's not the bum from Jacksonville that you're always talking about.

I'd take garbage ass Garrard over horrible limp legs Palmer.

If Garrard played for the Bengals, I'm sure he'd be horrible limp leg too.
Um no.. Garrard has played with horrible Olines.

2008.

Khalif Barnes
Tutan Reyes
Uche
Maurice Williams
Tony Pashos

Worst Oline Ever

2009
Eugene Monroe (Rookie)
Vinny Manawai (50% from torn ACL)
Brad Meester (Old as <Censored>, pretty bad)
Uche (Decent)
Eben Britton (Rookie)

Eugene and Eben was the only good players.

2010
Eugene Monroe
Vinny
Brad
Uche
Jordan Black (Eben is Out for Season)

Garrard is usually running for his life thanks to Jordan Black...
Eugene Monroe on the other hand, is turning into a top 10 LT.

Garrard can run with the ball, Carson cant... theres the big difference and what keeps Garrard upright.

Carson has been through a lot of wear and tear over the years, he's been beat up one too many times. It's just unfortunate he got drafted on a dis-functional team that holds back his true talents. So, I'd be all for him going to a real team to showcase his talents.

He was never really "That Great" to begin with.. a middle of the road QB from the get go.

The USC hype was full in effect. See Leinart, Sanchez, etc.

Even though Matt Barkley has the potential to end that..

Yeah, a Heisman trophy winner, first overall pick in the 2003 draft, he must've been a bum. I don't know why the Bengals would've ever invested over $100,000 into him... Hmmmm that's franchise QB money right there. The bottom line is - Injuries have ruined his career.

Heisman Trophy means nothing on how you'll do in the NFL (Matt Lienart)

#1 pick means nothing either (Jamarcus)

Face it, Palmer never was a top 10 QB.. he was always in the 15-20 range. Never a top elite QB. Middle of the road.

LMAO! Look at his stats from 2005-2006, those are better stats than any Jaguar QB has ever put up, only to get injured on the first play of the 2005 playoff game. I wonder why everyone was ranking him in the top 3 with Manning and Brady... Hmmm.. Must've been a 15-20 range QB. Once again, injuries ruined his career.
