So is it safe to say the most analytical team just traded away one of the players analytic guys love the most for a meh return?

He's a free agent at the end of the year. Not easy to get a great return under the circumstance.

Thats an excellent pickup for the Royals. Zobrist can play so many positions defensively and his hitting stats will improve leaving that As ballpark. I believe I read somewhere that Zobrist is 3rd in WAR since 2009 which is very surprising and impressive.

Yeah he's been so consistent for the past few years. Very underrated player who can play almost every position.

Royals farm is gutted though, but I guess they're going all in this season.

Yes it is in a way because defense is heavily weighted.
