Well, yeah. The bulls got more talent from last year, and were the 4 seed. Without Rose

Everyone seems to forget the injury history of Kyrie and Love. Varejao, too.
There's a difference in Kyrie & Love's previous health problems compared to Rose playing 10 games in the last two seasons.

Varejao will miss at least half the season, I won't dispute that.

I forgot that we actually did get to see Rose vs Kyrie last season, finally.

It was awful.

WHILE NEWS CAME out yesterday that Minnesota and Cleveland had agreed in principle to a trade that will send All-Star Kevin Love to the Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a first-round draft pick, the Daily News has learned that the Sixers will, indeed, be involved in the deal.

A source informed the Daily News that the Sixers will be sending veteran forward Thaddeus Young to Minnesota for a package that will include Bennett, the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NBA draft.

The deal, which two sources have confirmed to the Associated Press, will not be official until Aug. 23, when Wiggins, this year's No. 1 draft pick, becomes eligible to be traded.

It has been reported that Minnesota sees Young as the right guy to fill Love's shoes. The Timberwolves, it has been reported, could use the first-round pick they get from the Cavaliers to help entice the Sixers to part with the 26-year-old Young, but that has not been confirmed.

LeBron basically talking about Kevin Love at his press conference as if he's already on the roster.

Has the #1 pick ever been traded a month+ after the draft?

The #1 overall pick had only been traded twice before in their rookie season: CWebb, with Orlando (was a draft day trade to GSW), and David Thompson, who was traded from Virginia to Denver (ABA); not sure on when that trade went down tho

Well yeah I knew about Webber. But like you said draft night.

Just think it's bizarre that the #1 got traded a couple months almost after the draft.

Other than still making millions and being a god in Kentucky, how mad is Calpiari right now?

I still don't understand why he turned it down (trust me, I get the Kentucky allure). Even without LeBron in the fold, he would have had a very young and promising roster with cap flexibility. Not to mention a contract which I presume would have made him the highest paid coach in the league, AND final say on basketball/personnel decisions. Bruh

Also, there was probably a plan in place for him to become the president of basketball ops. And even if he flamed out and got fired, almost every school in the country (including Kentucky) would jump through hoops to sign him after that.

I'm not upset though, I definitely prefer to have David Griffin making the moves and have confidence in Blatt. Only reason I would have wanted Cal was if it guaranteed LeBron, but didn't need him apparently.

Just puzzling as to what he was thinking
