The nominations are in and it is time to vote in the small forward position of SI's all-time team. This thread will be open for 48 hours. Players receive 3 points for a starter vote and 2 point for a back-up vote. The top two will then be placed on the official all-time team.

please vote, discuss, argue, and debate each other in this thread, as this is the official time to vote. If you want to change somebody's mind do it here. I highly encourage you go onto youtube and watch highlight videos of these players and do some research. Here is a good source if youa re unfamiliar with some of the old timers: http://www.hoophall.com/

Also why we are waiting, the Power Forward nomination thread will be open here: http://www.sportzin.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=25843

John Havlicek should recieve every single back-up vote. He is the greatest 6th man in history and has scored more points for the Celtics then Larry Bird. He performed well in the clutch and he has many championship rings. The greatest 6th man in history deserves to come off the bench on the greatest team in history.

And can someone change the title to "Vote now for the Small Forward Position"

I was just referring to that someone calls him Big Game Worthy. For example, You don't say Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway but some people jsut call him Penny Hardaway. Same thing with James Worthy.

I voted Bird & Dr J -- Havlicek was very good - but I would rather split up the votes then have both be Celtics players

So is nominating John Starks
ok, so what, John Starks is nominated. It is better thatn tainting the results because you don't like a player that recieved two voting points. i may have to deduct two points from Wilkins total at the end.

Nah it was actually accidental, but if you want, I'll change my backup vote to Dr J.

It wasn't a comeback, I was saying that if one stupid thing was allowed, why not 2?

I thought Bird was mainly a PF.

How do you figure? Kevin McHale was PF for the majority of Brd's career, and Parish was center.
ah true, but I thought he was pretty dang tall, maybe he was a tall SF...like Hedo or Rashard.
