Burress fined $45,000 for throwing a ball into the stands? That is ridiculous, Goodell. Players getting fines for such stupid reasons is getting out of hand IMO.

Most of the fine was talking <Censored> to the officials. I don't get why you'd fine someone at all for throwing a ball in the stands though. I mean it was after a touchdown, plenty of players do that or sometimes hand a fan the ball.

it was only $5000 for the ball throwing............. which IS ridiculous.

the other $40,000 was for official abuse.

Not when the League Rules now clearly state that doing anything other than placing the ball down or giving it to an official, after a play is over, is a delay of game.

You can't call anything "absurd" when it is a rule. Might be an "absurd rule"...but Plaxico knows better.

But dude...throwing the ball into the stands, in the middle of game...is like some @sshole in gym class getting pissed off over a play and throwing the ball over the fence or into another the field.

It's unnecessary, it's undisciplined, it pisses everybody else off, and it holds the freaking game up.

Believe me...I completely agree that alot of the sh.. players are being fined for are ridiculous. I don't have a problem with Plax being fined for chucking the ball into the stands or heckling refs...but some of the player fines for hits are outrageous.
