So this is going to be where I keep all my Design the Diggs concepts, and post any updates to them. Using a new design template to show them off.
As you can see I revisted this since I posted it in the inital thread. I wanted to maintain the Warrior motif, but jazz it up a little bit. The shield is obviously meant to represent one that a warrior would use in battle. The new jerseys I have developed, I have tried to give the side panels an 'armour' feel to them.
Still the same concept that I posted in Week 2. I took two existing Browns logos (the football and bulldog), gave the colours a slight makeover and tried to stylise them to feel more modern. Especially happy with how the bulldog turned out. Still very simple and basic Brown and White jerseys to try and keep atleast some of the heritage.
Not my favourite main logo, but I was very pleased with the alternates I made. Very happy with how the stylised ball turned out. As you can see, I scrapped my initial home alternate design and just opted for a fully yellow number. Copped a bit of flack for them looking a bit too minor league. Open for suggestions on how I could "major" them up a little bit?
Yes, it looks like a freakin ninja throwing star. I know it does, as I designed it though, I really felt like it still felt like a spur, just a very menacing one. I personally think that the main logo works really nicely as a centre logo for their court. I just feel like the logo works, despite the connotations that might come from it. Much like the Royals, I am open to suggestions and willing to give out the PSD if you want to have a crack at upgrading it. I tried to metalicise the colours a bit, make it a bit edgier. Really feeling the alternate jersey on this concept, espeically with no neck trimming or arm trimming. I think it is an upgrade on the current traditional Spurs apparel.
Personally my favourite concetp yeah. Moved away from the American Indian motif, and went with more of a shield look. I loved how the feathers turned out, and personally think that the feather plus the text makes for some very nice alternate logos. Some may not like the yellow alternate, however you can also see a bullet grey alternate in the second link which is fairly sharp.
So yeah, I knew I was going to hate designing hockey jerseys, and I think this is reflected in my crap first attempt at a logo. If I made the eyes more menacing from the start then it would have worked, but they ended up too cartoony. I liked the blue/black/silver combo, so kept it, and transferred it to the lion/predator/claw motif. Jersey designs were random with no though behind it.
Changed up the wordmark a bit. The "TC" for Twin Cities logo is supposed to also represent the Gemini sign of the Zodiac, which is latin for "The Twins". Altered the colours a tiny bit. Went with a red alternate due to the already large number of blue jerseys in the MLB
Modernised the main logos with some solid colours, strokes and subtle shading on the ball. Kept the same colours with the jerseys, but combined new and old with current shorts designs combined with an alternative of the Showtime jerseys.
Week 1: Golden State Warriors.
