The Nets and Pacers are expected to pursue free agent David West, sources tell Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.
West announced Monday that he will opt out of his $7.5 million contract with the Hornets despite tearing his ACL on March 25. Although he hasn't ruled out a return to New Orleans, Wojo says that the scoring forward has "probably" played his last game for the team that drafted him. West grew up in New Jersey and their starting power forward, Kris Humphries, is also a free agent.

"Probably"

From what I've heard he has 0% intention to resign. Never did.

Who would with this shit franchise?

Then close this topic, because the Nets and Pacers are not winners.

I think West would be a good pickup for the Pacers though.

I mean, maybe some team throws an outrageous amount that he can't pass up, but he has stated a number of times that it isn't about the money or anything, it's about winning a championship. Normally I wouldn't believe a athlete, but I believe David. This is a guy who turns down every endorsement deal he gets offered.

Lol why wouldn't you want/need him? Humphries, Williams, and Wright are the only 4's on your team.

Besides, ALL of the reports say the Nets will go after him. Is this the one time you don't believe everything that you read?

We don't need another jump-shooting big man who is mediocre at best in the rebounding & defense department. We need a banger to compliment our 23 year old center. Humphries is clearly that guy.

We'll target (in order)

1. Nene
2. Humphries
3. West

Brook is the worst 7 foot rebounder in the league.

I love how Lopez has one bad year of rebounding, and he's the worst. He played next to one of the best rebounders in the league this year while recovering from mono and dealing with a calcium deposit in his arm.

Andrea is a SF in a C body though.

He grabbed 8 a game while having no one on the roster with him. Minute someone decent comes in, his numbers drop.
I mean I probably could of grabbed 8 a game for NJ back when he was a rookie lol.
Also why his scoring numbers are so inflated.

Bargnani and Brook equally suck in the rebounding department.

No offense Domerocker, but those are some of the lamest excuses I've ever heard.

Noah and Boozer both pulled in 10 rebounds a game playing together...

There's no excuse for Lopez getting 5 boards a game.

Oh boy...

Is Bargnani not a seven footer? 12 SF's in the league averaged more RPG than he did this season.

Making excuses for Bargnani's rebounding, then trashing Lopez for it, is absolutely asinine and ludicrous.

Who did Bargnani have to compete with for rebounds this season? Reggie Evans missed most of the season.

By the way, Brook constantly faced nightly double and (sometimes) triple teams, and still scored at a 50% clip.

Wow, you just admitted that Lopez is mediocre in rebounding and defense. Today is a great day!

He's still younger and more durable than West.

I'd expect no less than 8 RPG from Lopez next year.
