The Toronto Raptors are interested in Rajon Rondo, according to multiple sources.
The Raptors like Rondo's basketball resume and he would also bring a 'star' element to the franchise. Rondo has many backers in the organization.
Rondo is scheduled to become a free agent in 2015.
The Raptors have been engaging in trade talks with Kyle Lowry, though they are prepared to keep him past the deadline. Lowry will be a free agent in July.

I agree that it's not a great move for TOR. But I have always loved TRoss tho

It would be stupid to ruin our team's chemistry at the moment

Ross has become fairly overrated

Still a bad deal for Toronto

I liked Ross at the draft, not just now.

I wanted Cleveland to take him over Dion; liked his explosive potential

And rondo is going to test FA wherever he goes. No reason for him to re-sign, because he gets less years. You can't make more than a 4 year deal, so if he signed an extension today, it's only 2 year deal after his current contract

I don't think Toronto has a damn clue what they want to do.

Right lol. One minute they want to trade all assets, the next they are trying to compete.

We call those smokescreens. They're trying to create leverage and not be bullied in trades. If someone thinks you don't necessarily want to blow it up, they're probably not going to low ball you. If you're trying to acquire a veteran but the other team is under the assumption that you're also fine with rebuilding, they can't won't be able to ask for as many assets.

I don't see why a Lowry/Rondo deal even makes sense.

I'd move to Toronto after graduation, but it wouldn't make sense to spend 4-7 years learning American law, and then move to Canada.

Awesome place
