Papelbon told MLB Network Radio on Tuesday that it would be "an absolute joke" for Puig to be included on the National League All-Star team when the midsummer classic takes place at Citi Field in Queens, N.Y., on July 16. Papelbon continued his rant while reportedly failing to pronounce Puig's last name correctly multiple times, according to ESPN.

"It's really kind of stupid if you ask me ... I don't even think he's got a month in the big leagues. Just comparing him to this and that, and saying he's going to make the All-Star team, that's a joke to me."

Puig improved his case for an All-Star nod on Tuesday night in Denver, going 3-for-5 with a home run -- his eighth of the season -- in an 8-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies. Puig entered the game hitting .436/.467/.713 in 107 plate appearances across 26 games

I totally agree. A lot better outfielders who have been here all season that deserve an all-star nod. Justin Upton, Dominic Brown, Jay Bruce, just to name a few. Plenty of guys who have been playing well all year. Although it is hard to overlook how bonkos Puig has played.
