Why not? 26 sacks last season and only 14 the year before. Two embarrasingly low sack records. After two ACL injuries the past two years, Kampman may not be reliable any longer. Corner, safety, defensive end, in no particular order.

Kerrigan is a 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB, some even thought he looked better standing up than having his hand on the ground during Senior Bowl week.

Actually, it isn't we're bad on the Dline, its that we're getting better. 5 out of like 6 draft picks were for Dline picks.

Kampman had a torn acl the year before, and he said he feels better this year than he did last year during the injury.
Jeremy Mincey came on strong and stepped in and had like 5 sacks in Kampmans presence, which is good.
Tyson Alualu, Austen Lane, Larry Hart, D'Anthony Smith, were all rookies and showed improvement.
Also we'll sign some base hit free agents to help the Dline grow.

Kerrigan looked horrible standing up at the senior bowl. He doesn't have the hips to be a 3-4 OLB and I heard Mayock say himself that he can only picture Kerrigan in a 4-3 scheme.
