Yea that's a pretty solid team, agree that you wanna find another RB later on. Unfortunately Evan Engram's performance relies heavily on how the Giants offense functions. If the OL performs better and they move on from Eli sooner rather than later, I think he has a great year.

I did one yahoo league and he went undrafted. I picked him right after. Even if he has a so-so year Im ok with it. I was just surprised nobody took him.

I've played fantasy football since 2005, and I've honestly never done an auction draft.

I'm probably the oldest fantasy pleb alive.

I’ve never done any sort of auction draft before. Not opposed to it or anything but I’m definitely confident in my ability to traditionally draft off a board and fill a team out.

One of my baseball leagues is switching to an auction draft next year so that’ll be my first taste of what it’s like

I've never down one either tbh. If I joined a league with an auction draft I'd probably do a few mock drafts first just to get an idea.

I got you by 3 years. I started in 2003. ;)

And...I never have done an auction draft either. Wouldn't mind trying one out maybe next year..

First auction draft I've ever done this year. It was live, in person, people I don't really know except a couple. 12 team PPR league, $70 buy in

QB: Watson
WR: Woods
WR: Thielen
RB: Mack
RB: Ekeler
WR: Boyd
TE: Kittle
K: Carlson
D: Jets (will stream)

Bench:
Jarvis Landry
Malcolm Brown
Eric Ebron
Tyrell Williams
Jakobi Meyers
Darrell Henderson
Devin Singletary

I got stuck with a few guys like Mack and Ebron, but that's what happens when you're aggressive in running up other people's bids. I tried to stay away from spending big money, let other people spend cash, then threw names on the board of dudes I wanted and bid bullied my way into this roster.

Live auction draft is the way to go if you're going to do an auction league. People's expressions are telling, similar to poker, and you can get a feel for the room in knowing when to run up bids, or when people are just looking to sucker you into getting stuck with a dude.

So it sounds you had a lot of excitement in it. Was it easier to being live, or can it be also be done online?

Would be ok online, but I can’t imagine it being as fun as live in person. Took us about 5 hours for 12 teams. Enough time to have (more than) a few drinks!

Yea I feel like doing an auction draft in person is the way to go. But 5 hours I couldn't do - I'd be bombed by the 4th round

I definitely got pretty sloshed. 12 teams was a bit much
