The 2010 NFL Draft is moving to prime time, and the entire draft will be held over three days, the league announced today.

The first round of the 2010 draft will start Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m.

The second and third round will be Friday, April 23, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds will be Saturday, April 24, starting at 10 a.m.

The draft will again be held at Radio City Music Hall in New York. A few months ago, the league projected that the draft could have been held in early May, which would have meant that it would be held on the same weekend as the Kentucky Derby. But that issue is no longer in play.

“We continue to look for ways to make the draft more accessible to more fans,” commissioner Roger Goodell said in a press release. “Moving the first round to prime time on Thursday night will make the first round of the draft available to fans on what is typically the most-watched night of television.”

I think this sucks. I really liked it when it was on around 10 am. Waking up and watching the draft all day was always fun.
