An investment group wants to bring an NBA team to Las Vegas.

The group, International Development Management LLC, said it's close to purchasing an NBA team to play in its proposed arena.

The "deal" has a lot of loopholes to clear. The investment group must first strike a deal with the county to fund construction of its proposed arena.

Chris Milam, CEO of International, told the Las Vegas Sun the group has a team "under contract."

Could it be Golden State?:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors/post/Warriors-selling-for-400-million-?urn=nba,256126

Golden State Warriors owner Chris Cohan is about to make a boatload of dough. CSNBayArea is reporting that he has an offer worth $400 million on the table for his team.

That would be the second-highest price ever paid for an NBA franchise; the Phoenix Suns went for $401 million back in 2004.

The offer is from Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle Corp., according to the site, but Cohan would like it to be higher. He has a second bidder, too, the site reports, in Mandalay Entertainment Group chairman Peter Guber and Celtics minority owner Joe Lacob.

A deal is expected to happen soon.

Well it seems like its either the Warriors or Pistons right now. I doubt we will move anywhere. Stern said he doesn't want the new owners whoever they may be to relocate us.

The Browns moved out of Cleveland in 95 being one of the most historic franchises in the NFL, with innovators like Paul Brown, and the best player in the history of the league Jim Brown previously on the team, and others.

Any team can be moved if the pieces fall in place.

I think the next NBA team we will see to be a "new" team to the league will be the return of the Seattle Sonics...a team in Vegas...probably later down the road.

Vegas won't get a team unless the NBA can get a commitment behind a stadium there.
Or something like that, that I read lol.

This is good news:

The Pistons released a statement this afternoon: "While there is no substantive news to report regarding the sale of the Detroit Pistons, our ownership group has absolutely nothing to do with any proposal that would move the team to Las Vegas. As stated since the beginning of this process, the preference is to find an ownership group that is committed to Detroit..."
