His height situation is being overplayed. 7'1 wing span, I assume his standing reach is rather good, it just wasn't measured, has the body to take contact.

And a pain for you defensively, add in Waiters it may be life threatening

Mike Brown will mask the problems. They're both athletic enough and quick enough to play solid defense and are motivated. They just need instruction. Byron Scott literally did nothing

Kyrie is a different story though, he needs serious help.

It's hard to mask when 4/5 players are really bad defenders

They're young, they can improve. Dion wasted 2 years in a zone, and Bennett chose a terrible school out of high school.

I bet the Cavs finish in the top 15 in most of the major defensive categories this year. Maybe not top 15, but top 20.

Sure they can improve, but will they?

I would say Kyrie takes similar steps to Derrick Rose and in a few years will be a good defender. Waiters and Bennett are the concern though.

They're not dried up old ladies, they're good to go.

I'm not concerned with Waiters. I think he just needs proper coaching. Bennett I'll agree, somewhat worried, but the offensive upside outweighs it for me

Everyone on our team has injury problems. Might as well go for broke

Top 20 is the same as the 33rd percentile.

Top 20 is better than what they did last year.

Bennett was shorter than Shane Battier though, and he is 6'8".

Draftexpress lists Battier at 6'9.5" in shoes coming out of college.

That's cause he's 6'7, maybe a bit taller.
