Lakers have been active the entire first half they're moving all over defense it's beautiful. Oden looks rusty, but he never was much of a scorer anyway. Plus he's facing straight up against Bynum which already is a challenge, add in the double team, and he's in extra trouble.

Beautiful start by the Lakers though :D

lol Barkley actually made sense!!
I loved him ripping on Oden. I have never bought into his hype and I won't until he gets time on the court to show us what hes really got. He's a good defensive guy no doubt, he has always had A LOT of offensive work to go for. 12 inches from the rim and he threw up six inch hook shots. If he's going to have an impact right now it wont be anything more than a defensive impact, he needs a lot of work. Barkley's right, this isn't college he's not going to be able to dunk over everyone especially in the first two weeks.

Looked at the Blazers schedule, he has to face Duncan, Shaq, Yao, Boozer, DH12, Al Jefferson all in the first two weeks? It's going to be a while before he shows anything great.

Unfortunately for him with all the hype comes a close microscope, sucks that everything he does will be under heavy watch.

He wasn't drafted to play offense.. He's never been exceptional at offense, he was drafted because he can be one of the next great defensive big man in the league, and thrown in lots of boards.

No <Censored> that's what I just said.

But that seems to be something a lot of people are forgetting. People act like he's going to be an immediate force coming in like he was the next Olajuwon when right now he's just a big defensive body, a damned good defensive body, but that's pretty much it at this point.

I don't know many people who ever expect Oden to be an offensive force..

Haha I like the "@" on the Lakers/Clippers game, yknow it's just another Lakers home game. As much love as B.Diddy gets this is Lakers town.

Well here's my picks for the day:

Raptors @ 76ers
Hawks @ Magic
Nets @ Wizards
Heat @ Knicks
Pacers @ Pistons
Kings @ Timberwolves
Bucks @ Thunder
Suns @ Spurs (ESPN)
Grizzlies @ Rockets
Nuggets @ Jazz
Hornets @ Warriors
Lakers "@" Clippers (EPSN)

Don't see any upsets. Nets over Wizards only because Arenas is out... even though I still think the Wiz will win my gut says to go with the boys from Brooklyn.
