My Last 4 sigs

like the title says these are the last four i have made. i honestly think i am getting a little better day by day and having to use the tutorials less each time.

Metroid Prime- on a scale of 1-5 on the following the tutorial this was about a four I am having problems with the part where you blur the render to make it blend. mines looks to blurry. should i just use a lower strength and should i use a brush like a splatter or something like a normal stock brush and will changing brush sizes help out.

Man on horse- This was about a 3. I wanted to do this one to practice smudging and mine looked just smudged and not splattered like the one i followed and i didnt know why but a guy on another forum told me to mess with the brush properties. will that work and is there anything else to help achieve the "splattered" look instead of the "smeared" look. Also i noticed that a lot of these types of sigs are done with some sort of cartoon/anime or game character so i just saw this one on a site and used it. the left side looked to empty and i didnt know what it was so i jsut put that text on there to fill up space cuz like i said i was mainly doing this one to practice smudging.

Superman vs Spiderman- This one was about a 2. I started following until the c4d then i quit for a while and then used it for the last few steps of the tutorial. I wanted to follow this tutorial to practice my c4d choice/placement and also i just thought it would make a cool looking sig and still would if someone better made on from that picture.

Kings of Leon- I am proud to say that this one was a 0. I didnt use any tutorial for this one(although i prolly should have). I really like this one and think it is my best one, tutorial or not. Plus the satisfaction of making a decent looking sig without a tutorial is pretty cool. Like i said i think i am getting better each time so maybe after another 3 days of this then i will be even better.

I know this is a kinda lot to read but i just thought some of you may wanna see any improvements and let me know how to further improve my skills. Thanks for any cNc. if for any reason someone wants a psd of these to maybe see something i am doing wrong or if they want to just improve on what i have done then just say so cuz it is no big deal to me. and btw superman would whip spidermans ass everyday of the week and twice on sundays.

Wow, I actually really like the Kings of Leon one, the Superman Spider man one would be pretty sick if just the two characters had color, and the rest was black and white to give it a nice focal, although if already has one, nice work.

thanks a lot man. i agree with the superman one now that you mentioned it but i am not so hot at cutting stuff so it is prolly best i just desat. the whole thing lol.

i just use the eraser though, and for some reason it does it perfectly, I'd like to get the psd on it, can you link me?

well i would rather just go around the image with the pen tool and the layer via copy and then do what ever with the bottom layer. here is the PSD and dont be surprised if you see some layers and you are like WTF was he thinking or some layers that may or may not serve a purpose. that is just the beginnerisms(is that a word. if not it should be).

Don't worry, I make layers like that all the time, lol, I'm basically a beginner too.

That's what I did, basically erased over superman, and spiderman for the color, than used the vibrance adjustment layer to make it look a bit desaterated but with some color, and i sharpened a bit.
